Karin is the first point of contact for new sponsors and conference exhibitors. You will see her roaming the floor at our annual conference and other dental industry meetings. Karin’s role is to introduce as many valuable resources, products, and services as possible to AADOM members. She also hosts our regular AADOM sponsored webinars, Members Access, to further their education and earn CE credits. Karin’s background includes 20+ years of sales and marketing experience, including 13 years as an insurance agent. She was a top producer of new dental patients and revenue as a marketing specialist with the largest national provider of support services to general and multi-specialty dental groups. Karin was the first recipient of the Operations Team Award for Outstanding Teamwork and Dedication and was assigned to a task force to develop a national dental campaign that is still in force today.
Wes Blakeslee, DMD
Dr. Wesley Blakeslee completed his undergraduate studies at Gettysburg College in Pennsylvania. After two years of graduate study in biology at Seton Hall University where he was a teaching assistant, he was accepted to UMDNJ-NJ Dental School where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 1979. The creator and host of the podcast program for the Academy of General Dentistry, Dr Blakeslee interviews prominent dental educators, clinicians and manufacturers on the latest products, materials and techniques in dentistry.
Ted Borris, DDS
A former high school teacher and guidance counselor in Chicago, Dr. Ted Borris spent 32 years doing general dentistry first in the US Air Force in Texas and then private practice in Mount Prospect, Illinois. Feeling the need for personal change and development, Ted became the Director of Scientific Programs for the Chicago Dental Society Midwinter Meeting in 2014. Now, he and his wife of many years, Carolyn, traverse the country looking for the next great dental meeting speaker to bring to Chicago.
Trish is AADOM’s Project Manager working with Lorie Streeter, Karin Bennett, AADOM’s sponsors and vendors. She is responsible for the coordination of projects and activities including webinars, the Observer magazine, The Going Green Initiative and AADOM Speaker and Consultant Alliance projects. Trish brings over 25 years’ experience in the areas of sales and marketing working a variety of businesses and non-profit community service organizations throughout California’s central valley. Trish was born and raised in California and enjoys being involved in her community. She has served on the board of directors for Networking for Women and Visalians for Sober Graduation and volunteered with several organizations including the American Cancer Society, College of the Sequoias Foundation, Downtown Visalians and the Visalia Parks and Recreation Foundation. She lives in California with her three rescue dogs and enjoys community theater, events and concerts. She is excited to be working with such a knowledgeable and enthusiastic team of professionals!
Anne Duffy is a graduate of Ohio State University’s School of Dental Hygiene. She continues to practice one day a week and is the chair of the Dental Hygiene Board at CPCC. In 1998, Anne helped launch Dental Entrepreneur magazine at the ADA Conference in San Francisco. She took over as editor and publisher in 2002. Currently Dental Entrepreneur: Business Beyond the Classroom goes to every dental school in the country and to young dentists practicing ten years or less.
A Wisconsin native, Dr. Sarah attended the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry and graduated with honors in 1994. She did a one-year hospital-based residency program at Meriter Hospital in Madison, WI. The residency focused on the treatment of medically compromised patients.
Since 1995, she has been in private practice in Green Bay, WI. She is passionate about excellent patient care and enjoys serving many generations in her preventative and restorative practice. Sarah loves continuing education and has completed many hours at the L.D. Pankey Institute and Spear Education. She participates in many study clubs that focus on clinical, behavioral, and leadership skills.
Teaching and mentoring in her practice and community are one of Sarah’s passions. She serves on the Dental Hygiene Advisory Board at Northeast Wisconsin Technical School. She also volunteers at the NEW Community Dental Clinic. Dr. Sarah is a “want to be” golfer. Her family tolerates her missed shots. She mostly enjoys the beautiful scenery on the golf course. She also enjoys nature and the beautiful, but short Wisconsin summers. As a lover of music, Sarah serves her church as a pianist and organist.
Dr Heuer is a member of the American Academy of Dental Practice. She will serve as President of the Academy in 2023.
In her role as the Executive Director of AADOM, Kim’s responsibilities include managing the membership operations team, providing day-to-day member support, as well as developing membership programs and overseeing their execution. Also, she is the event manager for AADOM’s annual conference and other AADOM member events.
Kim has been in the dental industry for almost 30 years. In 2013, she started her own consulting business, Common Sense Dental Advisors, specializing in developing and executing customized marketing plans to help clients achieve their business goals. In addition to her consulting business, she is a popular dental speaker and writer.
Kim lives in Illinois with her husband, Bob. She has two grown daughters and two awesome grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoys riding her Harley and has a passion for cooking and golf.
William J. Moorhead, DMD
William J. Moorhead DMD has practiced family and sedation dentistry in Flemingsburg, Kentucky for over 30 years. Dr. Moorhead is a graduate of the University of Louisville, where he was a member of the Phi Delta Prosthetic Honor Fraternity. Dr. Moorhead has served as President of the Blue Grass Dental Society in Lexington, Kentucky, and is also a Past President of the Kentucky Dental Association. He currently serves as Chair of the KDA’s Council on Annual Sessions. Dr. Moorhead has received Fellowships from the Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation, the Pierre Fauchard Academy and the International College of Dentists. He is a member of the Crown Council, American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, Dental Organization for Conscious Sedation, American Dental Association, Kentucky Dental Association and the Blue Grass Dental Society. Dr. Moorhead has been developing systems to overcome the challenging issues of staff absenteeism, turnover, lack of quick and adequate training, and high overhead, and has thoroughly documented these systems for other dentists to use.
Dr. Ross W. Nash earned his undergraduate degree from North Carolina State University, Raleigh, NC. in Textile Engineering in 1970. He worked as an engineer before entering dentistry school in 1974 at the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry, Chapel Hill, NC. Dr. Nash graduated with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1978 and has focused his practice in the area of esthetic dentistry since 1980. Dr. Nash began writing and presenting programs on cosmetic and esthetic dentistry in 1982.
He has been adjunct faculty member at the Medical College of Georgia, School of Dentistry in Augusta, Baylor Dental School and New York University. He is director of Nash Institute for Dental Learning, The Esthetic Epitome Seminar Series, in Huntersville, North Carolina.
Dr. Nash’s excitement towards dentistry is as great today as the day he graduated dental school. The cosmetic scope of dentistry opens new windows for both patient and dental professionals in esthetic and restorative dentistry. The ever-constant improvement of materials, techniques, and technology make dentistry a perpetual challenge. He derives great personal and professional satisfaction from this continued growth and views dentistry as a very important part of health care today.

As the Vice President of AADOM, Lorie’s role is to strategically build programs and relationships that create awareness of the AADOM mission and benefits to its members. Lorie’s rich history in dentistry, marketing, sponsor relations (for the last ten years), and office management allows her the unique perspective of working with not only the companies who help sponsor education and programs but also the practice administrators and what is best for their growth and development.

Lorie also owns , StreeterBuilt Coaching and Consulting, LLC. Her dental career spans 28 years, 12 of which were spent working in a dental practice. In 2015 Lorie was named one of the Top 25 Women in Dentistry by Dental Products Report magazine.
Lorie lives in Washington with her husband. She is an accomplished musician and songwriter who has performed nationwide and has opened for Rascal Flatts, Marty Stuart, Tracy Byrd, and Collin Raye.
