Sameer joined CareCredit as a Practice Development Manager in 2006 and was promoted to Regional Sales Manager leading the Lone Star team in 2011. In late 2015, he took on the role of VP of Strategic Alliance working alongside Bete Johnson to partner and support the leaders and educators in dental industry. He brings ideas and strategies on how to leverage CareCredit reps to reinforce the ideas dental teams take away from meetings and conventions, especially as it relates to financial conversation and CareCredit tools. Before relocating to the US, Sameer completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Business from the University of Delhi. He holds a diploma in Software Engineering and completed a two-year program in Japanese language. In 2012, he earned his MBA in Healthcare Administration from the University of the Incarnate Word, San Antonio, TX. Sameer enjoys reading, traveling abroad, and will soon, along with his wife, take on the role of contractor to build their new home. Lisa has more than 20 years of marketing and sales management experience, mainly in the healthcare industry … pharmaceuticals, life sciences, and dental/medical device, with a brief period in the nuclear power industry.

Senior Product Line Manager, Carestream Dental
Matt Ackerman is the senior product line manager for Carestream Dental’s CS WinOMS practice management software, creating smarter software for oral health professionals. During his career, he has developed efficiencies in software design, delivery and support. For nearly 20 years, Ackerman has worked directly with general dentists, periodontists, endodontists and oral surgeons in their offices to improve patient experience, office workflow and ultimately practice profitability. In his current position, he demonstrates that working closely with customers to understand their problems and keeping them close during the software development process can create better solutions that meet the needs of more customers. Ackerman also works with corporate partners to develop valuable synergies to address the problems that exist in a dental practice. He was responsible for establishing the Carestream Dental beta-test program and, in 2008 as the director of quality assurance, he expanded his focus to support quality systems across each Carestream Dental software product. Ackerman is a volunteer on the American Dental Association’s Standards Committee on Dental Informatics (SCDI), helping to guide the decisions made about computerized data and how information is used to improve oral health outcomes.
Jim Gaitan received his bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland College Park campus in 1983. After graduation, he began his technical sales career at Hewlett-Packard Company. A few years later, he joined the Digital Equipment Corporation during their rapid growth period as they gained market share against the key industry leader and industry rival IBM. In 1990, Jim transitioned to the dental industry. He began his dental career by handling distribution for a leading dental practice management software company in the Mid-Atlantic Region. In 2013, Jim co-founded Dentalfone. Dentalfone is an industry leader in cloud-based APPS and high-end websites for dental practices. Dentalfone is a company focused on mobile platforms which is the subject of his lectures and presentations.
Kim is a dental practice management consultant with over 25 years of experience administering and leading large dental practices. She is a Certified Professional Business Coach, member of the Academy of Dental Management Consultants and Fellow with the American Association of Dental Office Managers. Kim has managed individual practices as a practice administrator and overseen multiple practices as director of operations. She has also founded and run her own consulting firm. Kim specializes in practice management, strategic business planning, leadership coaching, team development and acquisitions.
