Dr. Steven Gutter, MBA
Dr Gutter consults with offices focusing on Hygiene Department
enhancement, non-surgical periodontics, and practice profitability
management. As an avid student of post-graduate dental C.E., he
is up to date with the latest dental trends. Dr. Gutter is also
a Perio clinical instructor on staff at the University of Miami,
Florida Medical School Oral Surgery & General Practice Dental
Residency Program. He completed his studies for an M.B.A. specializing
in Health Care Administration at the Univ. of Miami Graduate School
of Business in Coral Gables, Florida in 1999.
He graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Dentistry
in 1976 and practiced general dentistry in San Francisco. After
selling his practice due to disability, he co-authored the first
Soft Tissue Management™ protocol for ProDentec in 1985. In
2003, Dr. Gutter was asked to be on OraPharma’s Arestin Protocol
Advisory Board, to consult on the implementation of locally administered
antibiotics.
Dr. Gutter has continued helping offices implement the newest
diagnostic and treatment approaches available to the general practice.
He has lectured extensively for the past 19 years both at large
meetings and in over 600 public seminars nationally. He has been
a frequent contributor of articles in dental journals over the
past 20 years.
Most of his time is now spent consulting with dental practices
and presenting his 15 hour “Perio/Hygiene for the 21st Century” seminars
on Cruises. He is well-known in dentistry as one of the premier
consultants helping offices to grow their practices from the foundation
of the hygiene department.
