Seminars:
Hiring and Retaining Good Staff: Is There a Secret? (dentists)
With unemployment at its lowest point in many years, it behooves every
business owner to hire the best and keep them. Indeed, staff turnover
is a problem in many dental offices. This seminar provides valuable insight
into how to attract quality people, how to keep them motivated and happy,
how to create high office morale, avoiding turnover, and hiring do's and
don'ts
My Love Affair With Periodontal Disease (hygienists and dentists)
One of the most professionally rewarding aspects of clinical dental hygiene
is the treatment of periodontal disease. This course is designed to instill
a deeper understanding for patients with periodontal disease and motivate
the clinician to a higher level of treatment protocol in clinical technique,
education, and behavior modification. Advanced ultrasonic techniques,
verbal skills, pain management techniques, instrument sharpening, relationship
of periodontal disease to systemic health, and insurance coding are discussed.
Come and renew your zest for enjoying the challenges of treating periodontal
disease.
Creating Communication Excellence in the Dental Office (dentists,
hygienists, and assistants) The skill that often separates the successful
practitioner from the unsuccessful practitioner is communication. Far
more than the words we speak, this lively seminar examines all facets
of communication with patients. Communicating one-on-one, barriers to
communication, chairside manner, reducing broken/cancelled appointments,
verbal and non-verbal communication, and tips on improving your own communication
skills will be addressed. Be prepared to laugh when we take a look at
some communication faux pas!
Building Your Practice From A - Z (dentists) Planting, growing,
and maintaining a dental practice is amazingly similar to cultivating
a high-quality fruit tree orchard. This entertaining course uses
this analogy to examine what it takes to produce a bountiful harvest
with your dental practice. All phases of practice growth are examined,
including marketing and human relations. After initial planning
and planting, five aspects of 'maintenance' are discussed: fertilization,
thinning, irrigation, spraying, and pruning. Come and learn what
is necessary to produce succulent, attractive, and satisfying fruit
from your practice!
