23 years ago, when Lois began her career as a dental receptionist, she discovered simple practical methods for streamlining scheduling, resolving outstanding insurance claims and decreasing accounts receivable. With the help of her newly found techniques, she became financial manager of a large dental practice in Minneapolis. In this position she gained further insights…becoming an “insurance detective”, and accounts receivable expert, team-building counselor and internal marketing guru. Soon, other offices were contacting her for advice. As the financial administrator for a large, extremely profitable practice in Kansas City, Missouri. All of this “hands-on” experience has provided Lois a solid, practical foundation to help your practice.
In 1998 Lois Banta joined Linda Miles’ “Speaking and Consulting Network”, an annual workshop for independent speakers and consultants who want to enhance their communication skills to more effectively share their expertise. In 2000 Lois founded Banta Consulting, Incorporated, a company designed to assist dental practices in managing their offices while at the same time, de-stressing their environment.
